I signed up with 8ta a couple of months back on their unlimited package. Since day one I have had signal problems on a daily basis. 8TA's technical staff were unable to solve the problem and it was agreed that 8TA would terminate the contract without penalties as they could not offer me the service which I had signed up for.
8TA arranged for their courier company to collect the handset from me. I then received a call from their accounts department advising me that they will be debiting my account R5900 for the handset which I had already returned. I made numerous calls to Clinton Assure who confirmed that their system reflected the unit as being returned and that I would not be charged accordingly. I requested him to forward me an e-mail confirming this. He reassured me that this was not necessary as all calls were being recorded. This weekend 8TA DEBITED MY ACCOUNT R5900 FOR THE HANDSET WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN RETURNED. I have no faith in any of their management team which I have liaised with so far and trust that they have someone who is competent enough to resolve this matter for me.
