Hi,

It seems that Telkom works against the National credit Act and its customers. I took out a contract for R199 a month with Telkom and I have the following two concerns.

1. I was debited for R199 before I got the contract (Not sure why they would practice business in this manner)
2. Then I was debited for R363.17 when it should have been R199 but in fact it should be been R0 as I had already paid in R199

So I called the billing department and they ran me through the prorata process which stinks as they say I got the device on 29 October 2013 and billed me a full amount for the device for October 2013 when it was almost the last day of the month.???

As a new customer who should have paid only R199, I have paid almost R565!!! I am dissapointed Telkom...

Disgruntled!
