I logged a call on 22 July 13 to Vodacom Contract cancellations (0821958) to cancel my Vodacom contract that expired in April and to be migrated to a prepaid number. The guy told me that it will be cancelled 31 July 13 and I just have to switch my phone off for a few hours and on again and top up with R29 or more and it will be a prepaid. Today, 1 Aug, I did what he told me to just to find out my phone is still a contract! I've been trying to get hold of them (0821958) for all more than 4 hours (if I add up all the minutes i've been "holding for the next available consultant" with absolutely no answer. I eventually got in my car and went to Vodacom where they called customer care and held on for so long I eventually said I had to get back to work I will just keep on trying. I got hold of someone at customer care who transfered me to the cancellation department again where I spoke to Pfholofelo. She then said my contract was never cancelled!!! At this stage steam were probably coming out of my ears! Apparantly her supervisor do not take calls so I can't call her!! I am so upset! It means I have to wait longer for it to be cancelled and wasted R50 airtime! POOR POOR service!!!
