Cannot get hold of Cancellations Department

I have been trying to get hold of Vodacoms's cancellations department since tuesday this week with no luck. I have had to go into a vodacom customer care to cancel my contract. I was also given confirmation by an online consultant that my account would be disconnected in 24hrs. Vodacom confirms my account cancellation fee has been paid but I haven't been disconnected as promised. I have returned to a walk in store and they tell me it's not their issue, and call cancellations. Cancellations do not answer and your walk in store will not bother to call them on my behalf.
