On 8 October 2013 I went to the MTN store at the Lighthouse Mall in Umhlanga to do and upgrade (from a R199 pm to a R299pm contract). My billing date is the 10th of each month. The consultant, Justine assured me that for the month of October my bill will be pro-rated since the upgrade will have taken effect for two days of the billing month. However, when I received my bill this was not the case. I was charged the full amount of R299. I reported the matter to Justine who promised to sort the matter out. This has not been attended to.
To add insult to injury, I was double billed for the upgrade. I was charged for the upgrade in October 2013 as well as November 2013.
I also purchased a BODY GLOVE cellphone cover for R250-00. Within three weeks the cover started to peel. I referred the matter to Delano at the store because Justine was not in. Delano informed me that nothing can be done because there is no guarantee on covers. To pay R250-00 for a cover and it peels within three weeks? Is this the poor quality of products that MTN sells. Are we being ripped off?
My entire experience with MTN Lighthouse Mall has been a rip off.
