Exceeded Credit Limit - PHONE CUT OFF

26 November 2013 - This morning I woke up to find my service suspended due to me having "exceeded my credit limit". I phoned the call centre (from your MTN cell dial 808) only to have a recorded message saying MTN are "sorry for the inconvenience". After being on hold for 14 minutes they cut the call. I have since phoned 12 MTN branches (retailers) - not a SINGLE one is answering their phone. THIS IS DISGRACEFUL! AND AS PER THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CANCEL MY MTN CONTRACT ON THE SPOT! There is NOT A WORD to be said on their website on how they plan to resolve this issue nor ANY sort of apology. I work for the CEO of a major Civils Company, my phone is what I use to check emails, make appointments, make calls to our suppliers and clients and business people. I have been prevented from doing my job today. I demand restitution to the amount of a R500 credit to my account for this mistake - plus the longer this goes on and the angrier I get, this amount will rise accordingly. Please do the same if you have the same problem - I hope it bankrupts this incompetent company who has so little skill in client care that their representatives are told to ignore callls!
