R800 cancelelation in 1st month due to NO SIGNAL!?

I have an 8ta 10GIG Internet contract at R199 per month over 2 years. (No device, data only)

My contract expired on 31 October, so the call centre phoned me to ask if I would like to renew.

I said yes, but we moved a week later (On the 1st of November) and our new house had absolutely no signal for 8ta Internet.

I then decided to cancel the renewal of the 8ta 3G and get Telkom ADSL.

They have now phoned and said that in order to cancel the contract I had for only a week before requesting cancellation, I must pay an admin fee of R800!

This is very steep for a customer that after one week had to cancel due to their service not being up to standard with no reception in my area.

I am even willing to 'upgrade' my service and get telkom ADSL (after hearing various reports of bad service), rather than cancelling, so that they do not lose a customer!

FURTHERMORE, the agent who contacted me cannot cancel my contract before the R800 is paid, but the banking details he promised to send me didn't come through. The call centre is unable to put me through to the cancellations department, so I cannot cancel even if I do decide to pay the R800 they are trying to from me!
