PATHETIC AND NEGLEGENT SERVICE AND SALES!!

I purchased a Sony Xperia Z From MTN in tygervalley beginning of October. I bought the phone because I am a SONY fan and believe their products to be superior amongst its competitors. I bought the phone as it was sold to me as drop proof to 1.2 metres, dust proof and waterproof. 3 weeks later, I did not drop my phone, rather mildly, I brushed up against the chair and the screen cracked to a point that it was not usable. (so much for it being more robust than most phones).
I took my phone to MTN and then they took it in as a screen mulfunction repair not as a cracked screen or neglegent repair. The women then asked me if I had insurance and I then onlyFound out that I should have been offered insurance on my phone. NOTHING was stipulated by the salesperson clearly on my contract that I was offered insurance or if I failed to accept or decline it. I then get a whopping bill from MTN of R3860!!! for a screen!! I sent an email as to how disgruntled I was and for them to liase with SONY to come to a compromise but AGAIN NOTHING in response!!!
I recieved my phone back unrepaired. I dont think I should pay for this repair as the phone was sold to me as most robust. REGARDS MIK
