Vodacom
Vodacom, a waste of my time and money

Telecommunications

I got a contract with vodacom the the 16th Jan 2013. I found out two weeks later of a better deal and therefore called vodacom call centre to cancel my contract, this is 13 days after my contract had been active. I asked what the cancellation procedure was in detail (if they have a cooling period, what the cost implications will be, what documents they may need), the call centre agent said they do not cancel short term contracts on-line and that I need to go back to the voda shop. I then called the shop on the 29-01-13 to ask them what they needed from me so I could come in the same afternoon, they took my number and said they would call me back with all the details, they didnt. On the 30th I went to the shop to cancel the contract, no luck.

I went back to the office and called the call centre AGAIN. They all were not sure of what the procedure was, they told me to go back to the shop as I am still within the 14 day cooling period. Im "FUMING" at the fact that I spent so many hours on the phone with people who clearly do not know their jobs, and than get attitude from a consultant who tells me with a smug that I need to pay. Like "REALLY" I do have other things to do with my time.
