Having a hard time canceling a contract

I took a contract in November 2013 with Elite Mobile, a vendor for Vodacom contracts. The contract is that I pay them R99 every month and they send me R99 every month for 24 months, I was sent a new sim card and I told them I don't have another phone I want the contract on my own number which means turning my prepaid number into a contract number. They, Elite Mobile, told me they will log a request with Vodacom. That took a while so I said please cancel the contract, now this was within the 14 days allowed by Vodacom to cancel a new contract and NOT be liable for payment of they entire contract amount. The contract was cancelled by Elite Mobile, I even got an e-mail confirmation but it is still active according to Vodacom and I'm still liable for the monthly payments. I have called Elite Mobile numerous times and they have referred me to Vodacom and I have called Vodacom several times and every time I get a new call centre operator who escalates my query to someone else and that unknown someone else has not called me back. This has been happening since 2013 November till today I have not received a solution for my problem.
