I've been a Vodacom client for over 10 years. Now I've experience a lot of problems with my current phone on my contract. After numerous times going back to get the phone fixed, they eventually told me it's unrepairable and wanted to replace my phone with an inferior phone, that does not have the same features of mine. After complaining the women tells me a phone is like a car! REALLY do you think I'm a completely S T U P I D? I work in the insurance industry and the reason for one having a warranty is in order to put the client in the same position as before NOT IN A WORSE position. I know what the value of my phone is and was when I got it and it's certainly not worth a cheap R500 phone that you want to offer my. I also know what the consumer act is all about; And it's to make sure that companies such as this do not rip people off like you guys want to rip me off.
Please advice on how you are going to solve the problem; Are you replacing my phone with a proper phone or should I cancel my contract and you pay me back what's owed to me - since this is breaching or shall I consult the consumer protection bodies or the National consumer commission?
