Data dispute and extra charges
I received an account with a total due amount of R 5 904.62 dated 2013-10-03.
My account is usually between R 500 and R600. The invoice stated that my data usage was R5 381.97.
I find it very hard to believe seeing that I use Wi-Fi during the day and I had a 500MB data bundle loaded. I reported my problem via email. They came back to me informing me that my bill was indeed correct, they also attached the supporting documents, it was for the wrong month!!! The documents stated data usage to be R34.95 not even close to the amount in discussion. according to them (definitely not me) the dispute has been resolved, He directed me to an agent to assist me further to prevent it from happening in future as well as an item for R 4 216.72 on my statement which I have no idea what is was for. the agent called me on Thursday but could not assist me and promised to call back... I am still waiting!!! I am not going to pay the crazy amount, and I am certainly not going to be happy if they suspend my account!!!
