Vodacom
Offerred Upgrade, but added New Contract

Telecommunications

I received an email, on 18 October 2013. The email clearly states that I am due for an UPGRADE, and goes on to offer me 3 deals (Samsung, Nokia, Sony), each with a button that states UPGRADE NOW.
I clicked on my chosen option (Samsung), and followed the links that the email went to. I was then sent an email confirming my order, and the next Tuesday my phone arrived (by VERY rude courier, I might add).
I did see that there was a sim card with my phone and thought this must be Vodacom giving me a micro sim for the phone - i never used it, as I have an S3 and microsim already.
However, when my bill arrived today, I have noticed that this has been processed as an ADDITIONAL contract, and not an UPGRADE which is what I was under the impression I was taking - pushing up my bill!!
This is completely misleading, and completely unacceptable. I am now lumped with a contract I don't need or want. I have 3 contracts already!
I am not happy with this at all and feel it was clearly a case of entrapment. You are welcome to come and collect the phone etc... as I don't want it. I am livid about this, as I feel that I have been completely mislead by Vodacom. Advise how you will rectify this?
