Very unhappy after upgrade via online

I upgraded my contract last week and all of a sudden I get these calls from a machine (not even a person) saying that my account is in arrears. Now I have a debit order that goes off each month, I can understand if there were charges due to the upgrade, but surely if Vodacom couldn't add it to last month's bill they would just add it to the next one? Obviously no one thought of that? Now I am being harassed by messages (again not even a person that phones me and explains the situation). I phoned the customer care line yesterday afternoon and the manager on duty assured me that he would sort it out this morning and yet I just got a call from a machine again. I am really very insulted by this as I spend more than R1000 per month on my phone bill and my account has never been in arrears and now apparently I am six months in arrears? What are these people doing? Now I will probably have to phone the customer care line again and sit and wait for someone to answer the phone and then go through all the security questions again and they'll probably just tell me they'll get back to me and then never do that. I am seriously regretting upgrading my contract.
