Don't ever take out a contract with MTN for any data related item. For a 24 month contract, you pay 25 instalments. Best part, the call centre never answers any calls. I have tried 5 times now to cancel this useless contract with them, each time I hold on for about 20 minutes, and yet no answer. I have sent an email to say that I have had this problem and I wish to cancel my contract when it expires, but yet I'm being charged.
The one time that I did get through I was told they can't help and that I must just phone again on a specific date. I work two jobs, so I do not have the time to go and stand in a queue at an MTN branch to waste more time. I've used my tea times and lunch times to phone them, but to no avail. Will they cover my time they wasting when I go into a store to go and waste more of my time just to cancel this contract and explain this all over again?
I'm shocked that even on the email I sent I had no response after it clearly states it has a 72hour retention period. I bet they will just come up with yet another excuse why you pay 25 instalments on a 24 month contract and why you never get through to the call centre.
