No response on contract cancellation numbe

I called the vodacom customer call centre with regards cancelling my cell phone contract which is due to expire in the next month. I was given a number to call for cancellations (0821958). I called this number 3 times today. The first time at 12:30 I was on hold for over 45 minutes when I gave up. Tried again at 15:50, was on hold for over 20 minutes and the guy who eventually picked up the phone kept on saying he can't hear me and hung up. I tried again for the third time at 16:14 and after holding for over 45 minutes, someone picked up, said nothing and I was cut off. Clearly there is no work going on behind this number, what do I have to do to cancel this contract.
