Toward the end of last year, I was contacted by "Vodacom" to offer me an upgrade on a contract that was about to expire. During the conversation, I told the agent numerous times that I did not wish to have another contract and wanted the number changed to prepaid. He sold me something for around R34 a month and was told I could cancel at any time without any cancelation fees. When I did call to cancel, I was told there would be a fee. I logged an inquiry in about March or April this year, with Vodacom and never got any feedback. When I followed up, I was told that a contractor, Elite Mobile had sold me the upgrade, which again, I didn't want. After numerous phonecalls, the Elite Mobile Escalations agent said the matter was resolved, and I would not be liable for the almost R1000 Vodacom is asking for. This was around the end of September. I am still receiving emails demanding the money, and I have emailed Elite Mobile on a number of occasions to have this rectified. All I get is a response to say my query is improtant, and I will be contacted. I have yet to receive an email or a phone call with a resolution. This is highly frustrating and the level of service is disgusting.
