Last September I had an excessive data charge on my acc despite having a limit set for it to soft lock. I disputed this charge and Vodacom insisted that it was valid. I then paid the cancellation fee and terminated my contract with Vodacom. Thus ending more than 6 years of being a Vodacom client. I then logged a complaint with ICASA about this. Tharello then contacted me via email and advised that Vodacom had agreed to a once off "goodwill" gesture of half off the disputed data charge. I agreed and he advised me that they will pay the amount to me in 14days. Vodacom then debited my acc for R 2.85 even though they owed me money. Tharello then ignored all of my subsequent emails and the number for the CEO's office just rings and rings with no one answering. After being ignored for 2months I logged another complaint with ICASA. Almost 3 weeks later Susan contacts me with the same offer. I asked her to review the offer as Vodacom to me in writing that they would pay the half back to me and didn't. I also had to pay 75% of remaining months as a cancelation fee. She has like her college, ignored me and I really think Vodacom needs to address this chronic avoidance of complaints!!!
