Nashua Mobile
Expiry of contract

Telecommunications

I bought 2 cell phones on contract at nashua mobile on 15-11-2011 and the contract i signed was for 2 years, the contract is due to expire this friday 15-11-2013 i have informed nashua mobile i intend cancelling the contracts on the date of expiry, nashua mobile staff have told me i have to give a one month notice before the contract can be cancelled and they start counting from the 1st of the month until the end of the month in terms of the one month notice which i find absurd and totally unacceptable, the consumer propertion act stipulates that the term must not exceed the maximum period which in this case is 2 years expiring on 15-11-2013. Further to that no one informed me at nashua mobile that when the term of the contract i still have to get a form and give a months notice before the contract can be cancelled and this one calendar month nonsense was never mentioned when i signed up for the contract which was in the middle of the month, now the contract is expiring and they tell me this calendar month nonsense i refute that with all the contempt it deserves, i demand for the contracts to be cancelled on the date of expiry 15-11-2013. ive been assisted by m schenck, L van wyk
