Sim card not working after compulsary sim swap!!!

I'm rather frustrated with MTN at this point after experiencing some hassles when I could not get the handset I wanted to upgrade to at any MTN store in my area with no dates on when stock will be available... So I had to upgraded my cell phone contract on Tuesday via the call centre (808). My handset was delivered yesterday but they did not have the micro sim card in stock, I had to go to an MTN store to do a sim swap which will be credited to me once I send the receipt through. I did this today, the lady at the store told me that once my old sim card is disconnected the new one will be activated. My old sim was inactive the moment I left the store. Now about 4 hours later I have NO working sim card. I can t even phone you guys to COMPLAIN!!!
