I have recently migrated my MTN contract to prepaid. Two years ago I was advised that this would be the correct contract. I had accrued R2330 worth of airtime during this period. I had given my 30 days notice as requested. I have even stayed a month or two past the 24 month contact period to use some of the airtime but each month you get topped up again and will never reduce the airtime at the rate I am calling.

When I was migrated to prepaid on Saturday I lost my R2330 worth airtime. This is money that MTN have received from me upfront for a service that I have not yet used.

I have stayed loyal to them by moving to prepaid when there competitors are cheaper and this is how I get treated. Now that I am prepaid I can not longer access the contract department via 808 and need to call 173 at a prepaid customer, when I get through they say I need to contact the contract department.

I have had two friends go through the same migration process and there airtime was paid to them and on this principal I followed the same route.

I was waiting for the new iPhone to take out another contract with MTN but that is looking like a slim chance of than happening now!
