My daughter upgraded her phone to a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in Feb 13. Had to take the phone back on 19/4 as it would not charge, she received a new phone on the 24 April 2013. On the 1st Oct 13 the phone has the same problem, we took the phone back to the Eastgate Branch. Spoke to Clement who told me that the 6 month warranty had expired (24 April - 1 Oct is just over 5 months) After explaining this he then wanted the paperwork, I asked why he could not just get it off the system? He reluctantly agreed to send the phone in and told me to call him on the Thursday morning. Phoned him he said he would call me back, I was going to Eastgate so went to see him and he promised me that he would find out about the phone before I got there, well he didn't, he phoned while I was there, to be told that the person who could authorise the warranty replacement was not in, but he would call me back. I phoned at 3.30 and was told that the guy with the paperwork was on his way and he would call back. 4 days later and still no authorisation on a warranty phone?
I would expect better service from MTN but an not surprised at the service I received.
