Fail to port number to prepaid and money

My fiances father recently passed away.
Her cellphone was still under his name and the contract up for renewal, she and the estate executor immediately contacted you and asked what needed to be done to port the number onto prepaid, as the contract was up for renewal anyway this should have been a simple task.
They followed your instructions, yet today the cellphone was cut off (including the PREPAID airtime we have just paid for to put into it). She is busy dealing with the loss of a father the last thing she needs is unneeded stress like this.
Your people are now telling her she must just get a new number.
1) How can you mess this up so badly?
2) How can you simply money like this?
Please sort this out immediately or I can assure you we will not be doing any further business with you.
