Cancellation never went through

Good day, my contract expired in July 2012. I was put onto month to month. In November 2012 I requested that my number be changed to prepaid, so that it would be available for me to port.
After 5 phone calls to call centres, going into customer care and phoning the Cancellations department on several occasions (0821958), my number is still not on prepaid and I cannot port my number because of this.
Why is this turning into an impossible task?
I have little faith in Vodacom's service delivery. Where does the miscommunication within your department?
I have done everything correct on my side, why am I still not on prepaid - this is a breach of contract and a breach of the Consumer Protection Act. Please transfer me to prepaid, I would appreciate this matter being resolved immediately.
Also note: One of the ladies hung up on me in the middle of a phonecall made to your cancellations department, this happened 31st Jan 2013 at 18:00.
