Just when i thought i'd seen/heard it all! 2day at13:20 i called vodacom customer care 2 give notice 2 cancel my contract which is expiring early nxt month. After holding 4 close 2 an hour, i was given another no. 2 call where i waited 4 another hour just 2 talk some1. Eventually i spoke 2 a lady called Lethu Mfaba, who told me the contract i was canceling has already been upgraded. And she goes on 2 say it must b a case of, & i will have 2 send an affidavit with a copy of my ID saying that i neva authorised an upgrade.
According 2 my knowledge a contract upgrade is an amendment 2 the 1st contract, & no changes are supposed 2 be made without both parties consent.
1. The lady told me the contract changes are confirmed once they get a copy of an ID which they have on the system, but cannot confirm whether the id is mine or not as its not clear. 2 me that's a clear breach of contract as i definitely did not sign any papers.
2. If the contract is already upgraded, why haven't i received any communique confirming such an agreement. Why have't i seen any changes on my statement. How can a phone b delivered but payment yet.
