Round about June 2013 I upgraded to a Samsung s3 Mini and requested for BIS to be cancelled on the previous contract. Obviously the Samsung does not need BIS.

Typically this was not done and MTN kept on debiting me the BIS service. After speaking to a few agents I was told that I would be refunded since on 20 September 2013 MTN put through a debit of 939.00. When I called again, the person I spoke to was very unhelpful and did not know what was going on. She advised the previous agent I had spoken to did not log the query about the refund. After 20 minutes and long hold time while I was eating my supper, she came back and argued no refund is due to me. This is a ripp off and MTN must be the worst service provider in the country. Nobody there seems to know whats going on, and the consumer keeps on loosing out. I demand that MTN should refund me the amount of 177 which they owe me for BIS which was cancelled.
