Vodacom retentions have to be the most pathetic call centre I have ever dealt with. I called in beginning of August requesting to cancel my contract. I was given a quotation with the settlement figure by one their retentions consultants. I than called in the following day to confirm the figure and thereafter made a payment of the quoted amount. At the end of August my account was debited, I tried calling their call centre several times holding on for almost 20 minutes. When I FINALLY got through. One of their retentions consultants by the name of Zweli, put me on hold for almost 2 minutes while it sounds like he was busy with something else. I than spoke to him, and he made no sense. I asked him to transfer me to a team leader and Zweli hung up the phone on me...
I called in again waited for another 15 minutes and was assisted by a gentleman who clarified the issue and made an excuse that they have a lot of new staff hence the service.
Why do they put incompetent staff on the phone?
Why was additional payment not explained to me and this happened twice?
