I closed a company and forgot to cancel a Data line. Vodacom made no real effort to contact me and first I knew there was a problem was when I got declined for car finance. Vodacom added on about R2600 penalties on a R2200 bill but I just agreed to pay as Vodacom was just not interested in assisting. I was told I just had to pay, which I have done. The first consultant told me it would be cleared within 4 working days with ITC if I paid.

When I phone back I get told it will take 3-4 days to reflect. ITC now tells me It will take 30 to 60 days to clear so I was too but the first Vodacom assistant!

So after having done the right thing and settling the abusive charges I am still unable to finance a vehicle for up to 60 days and this is now affecting me being able to run my business. I cannot lodge a complaint with Transunion ITC as this is a poor payment history not a listing. So as a consumer there is nothing I can do!

Why does it take over 30min on average for Vodacom cancellations to answer, I bet they answer new business call in a few rings!
