Cutting off contract prior to end date

Informed Vodacom of termination of business contract after 9 years. Contract termination as per billing- end of month Jan 2013. Vodacom cuts off contract 24 hrs earlier thus eradicating - 600 free accumulated minutes.
I pay for a month & Vodacom tells me that they are within their rights to cut off my contract 24 hrs earlier thus losing my minutes, 24 hrs prior to month-end.
The arrogance is unreal & unacceptable after being a loyal, heavily spending customer. I am told by Vodacom that terminating contract 24 hrs before month-end is quite acceptable to them although my billing is to end Jan but contract terminated midnight on 30th January although there are 31 days in January. I am told that this is what Vodacom does which is against the Consumer Protection Act as I have paid for 31 days in January.
