No assistance given with regards to contract

My sister upgraded her cell phone contract from a blackberry to a Samsung S4, they told us we had a 7 day lead way if we had any problems with the cellphone. A day after getting the phone she experienced technical issues with the phone; We purchased the phone at the MTN store in Cresta but we live in Vereeniging so we went to the MTN store at the River mall to hand the phone in. When we got there we were told they had no stock of the Samsung but will get it delivered the next day and had to call them to make sure they received the phones. After waiting and calling for 3 days in a row we had to take the phone and book it in on a Sunday due to the 7 day lapsing. We then received a call from the MTN telling us they could not do anything for us as the phone was a cosmo cell area which they did not inform her of or explain! We had to go back to the mall and pick up the phone cause they cant do anything to help us we had to go back to Cresta Randburg to get a new phone
This is not acceptable as all MTN stores should be able to assist us with repairs, trade in and any issues we have. Now we have to go back to JHB to get the phone done because no one can help us here or able to courier one
