Premium Uncapped ADSL definitely NOT for gaming

I have 2Mbps account, that I specifically got for online gaming, over the past month it has become almost impossible to play any online game without ping spikes. My friends that use other isps are lag and ping spike free. Please explain to me what makes this "Premium" if i get over 1000ms ping on games like dota 2 and diablo 3? My personal advise to others researching isps is to stay away from mweb.
