Handed over to lawyers unfairly

I recently lost my job and canceled my telkom line as I was paying for a 4 meg line and received speeds of O.5 megs max. I contacted telkom weekly about this and they did absolutely nothing. My internt was near useless. This was ongoing for six months. Now after I have canceled and recently became unemployed telkom has handed me over to lawyers for the outstanding amounts, even though I made arrangements to pay R300.00 a month to them, I think its extremely unfair I am being handed over when I am paying R 300.00 a month and am being billed in full for a line that did not work! Especially when I just recently became unemployed. Your service was useless and now im laible to pay for a service I was not receiving. I understand I must pay but I cannot pay the ammount in full. Im very unhappy about being handed over when I will payR 300.00 a month when I am able to. Im very upset telkom can expect the amount due in full for a line that was not working properly and now that im unemployed im still liable for the amount in full, im disgusted. Pls advise me on what to do. Nick
