My mum has moved away from her residence in Durban. Her name is N Govender and the number is 0314615814. Before she could move away she called Telkom to advise them that she is moving away and they said they will assist with changing her line to the new address. Four months later the account has been handed over and in arrears. The telephone line incurred arrears for three months. Shouldn't it be after the first month not paid they disconnect the line. I called the call centre to cancel the account and sent through a cancellation letter. The account has not been used nor is my mum at the property. This was not a contract either it was a residential line. The amount owing now is over a R1000 and it has been handed over to an annoying collections agency. Why should I pay for this pathetic service. They have not contacted us, they did not disconnect the line after the first month and they have the line open even after cancelling. Telkom is just disgusting, with poor customer service and dumb call center agents with no training an assisting skills.
