Incorrect registration using wrong I.D numbers

According to my Transunion credit report I have a telkom telephone line which is in arrears by 3 months.this is not true, I don't have a phone line not with Telkom. Upon calling & enquiring about this, I was told that I would have to physically go into a walk centre & provide proof that this is not my account. I advised the consultant I am in the middle of applying for a home-loan & do not have the time to go to a Telkom office in the week as i am based in JHB CB & requested that I sort this over the phone. I was told this would not be possible - no valid reason was given, but was told to physically go to their offices. Wow! Firstly Telkom incorrectly uses my I.D # (how it got to their hands, i don't know? I've never lost an I.D - so I'm beyond puzzled! The address & contact details do not match any of my previous and current details) over & above this I must be inconvenienced on 2 levels - this is affecting my credit scoring in my home-loan application & I now have to take time from precious weekend to attend to this nonsense! 2 weeks ago I lodged an online complaint on the Telkom support website, to date no one has bothered to attend to this. Extremely annoyed & disappointed
