No telephone poles but still being charged!

I requested a move of my telephone line to our new address in January 2013. After many phone calls to Telkom and being kept on hold, note I was calling from my mobile phone as I had no Telkom line. I learned that my new address, 45 De Beer Street, Prince Albert, 6930, has no telephone poles. They said they will get back to me. I waited again and no response from Telkom. I then called to cancel my account as nothing was being done about the matter and this is after speaking to numerous consultants at Telkom. In the interim I was still receiving Telkom bills for a service I was not getting and after cancelling my account and not having any telephone poles at my address.

I am extremely disgusted with Telkom at how they managed my query and also to have the cheek to carry on billing me for services I am not receiving.

I received a phone call from a consultant in Johannesburg, apparently the head office, querying my account and I told her the story. She assured me that she will sort out my account and back pay any payments when I had no service. This clearly did not happen, once again no service!

This is ridiculous and now Telkom has sent my name to a debt collection company.
