Still paying for a contract thats been cancelled??

I have had my Vodacom contract since July 2011, it was a 2 year contract where I got R135 airtime with my blackberry for R178.50 a month (had to pay more as I was told without this amount wont be able to see incoming calls and all calls would say private number, so I Had to have it (in their words)). I got informed that I could get my upgrade early this year. when I went to Vodacom La Lucia I told them I wouldn't be continuing or up grading when my contracted ended as the cheapest contract I could get was over R300, and I don't want a new phone, . they said this was fine and that once the 24 months was up I wouldn't be charged. I however sent 4 emails to Vodacom to tell them I wont be continuing and I have never heard a reply regarding my emails. My contract is now up and I have still be charged for another month (even though I haven't upgraded or don't want to keep paying for a phone that is now paid off). how can I cancel this as I am getting no where and do not want to pay for another month where i'm not getting anything for it?
