Took out a 2Gb data contract for R139.00 per month on condition that the contract will not go beyond the 2Gb cap and therefore no additional charges over and above the R139.00 will be levied against my account. I was given the reassurance that should the data expire in any month, the only way to activate this again would be through a top-up similar to a prepaid service.

The first couple of months went without problems, then I started to get bills over and above the agreed monthly cost. When I enquired this with the call centre I was told that my credit vetting aloud for a R2400 credit each month. The call centre agent also informed that my contract was an open contract and not fixed as per the above. I invited the agent to refer to the recorded conversation and asked for the matter to be escalated. I also stopped my debit order with the bank and informed the call centre about this the second and third time I followed this up with them. I was again informed that a manager will call me back with no avail. It has been three weeks since the matter was initially reported. Several calls were made to the
Call centre. On 23 July I again contacted them and requested feedback.
