I have a MiGig 3 contract with Vodacom. I have been paying for the last 10 months for a service that they cannot provide. There is no 3G reception in the area I live and they have sent out technicians who has done tests in the area and confirmed that there is no 3G reception. We cannot use this contract as it is impossible to try and do anything on the Internet. They have phoned me promising a solution and every time I query they have a different excuse as to when they can provide the solution. I have had enough of the excuses and decided to cancel my contract. They now want to charge me R 2089.48 for premature cancellation. 75% of the remainder of the contract!!! They should be paying me for the months that I was not able to use this service. I am not going to pay this amount. According to the below

? You must give 20 business days' notice to the provider.
? You still owe the provider any amounts up to the date of
cancellation. Suppliers can charge a reasonable penalty for cancellation.
Consumer protection regulations say *a reasonable charge may not exceed 10%
of the amount* you would have had to pay over the fixed
