I went to MTN Eastgate to change ownership of my MTN account, I had all relevant documents and the sales person did it online and for some reason it wouldn't go through, after standing in the long line to even get helped I had no luck. I then went to the Woodmead MTN store and went through the proceedure again and it was sucessful, I was notified of the R171 of the transfer fees which I was happy to pay. Low and behold on the First of the next month my account was debited over a thousand rand! I contacted MTN and was explained that I got incorrectly charged prorate airtime and that a billing complaint was logged and I would get contacted within 3-8 working days. After 10 days I contacted MTN yet again and had the most RUDE employee tell me that the billing was correct. He said the MTN store I went to was supposed to explain this to me, firstly the CONTRACT I signed clearly states one charge or R171 extra, that was all that was explained to me and frankly who has a spare Grand to pay for a swop of contract. Its disgusting service and frankly in my eyes my money was by MTN. I will be cancelling my contract as well as my companies contract with MTN.
