When I received my Vodacom account on Thursday and saw I was billed for two additional insurance packages, I thought a quick call to the call centre and a credit would resolve the matter. How wrong I was. Instead I was met with a pathetic excuse for customer service at the Vodacom call centre who said "we have no idea why you are being charged extra". No apologies for the error at all. I requested that a manager arrange a credit and that someone get back to me on Thursday with confirmation. That was too much to ask as no call was received to date. I called back late Thursday afternoon and spoke to a different call centre agent who confirmed she could see a refund was being arranged. I asked very nicely that the person dealing with this send me the confirmation in writing. No email received to date.

If Vodacom's goal is to provide bad service in an effort to lose customers, they're doing a good job. I am appalled at the lack of customer service and after their error, no effort being made to resolve this. Needless to say I will be cancelling my Insurance if someone eventually gets back to me.
