SHOCKING service from Vodacom

Telecommunications

My cell phone was on Thursday the 2nd May. I reported it to Vodacom and requested them to blacklist the handset and to give me a ITC reference number as required by my insurance. I was told that this will take anything from 1 hour to 24 hours.. On Thursday afternoon i went to the Vodashop in the Nicol way to do a SIM swap so that i can use another device. I was informed that they are not able to do the SIM swap as my account showed a arrears amount on it. Due the the public holiday on Wednesday my debit order would only run on the Thursday evening.
I called Vodacom on Friday morning to follow up on the ITC reference number and was informed by the call centre agent that the black listing of my handset was not done as there was a system issue and that that they will request it again. The call centre agent informed me that he will call me back to confirm that it has been done.. OHH and yrs I'm still waiting for that call
As of today I'm still trying to get the Sim swap done as my account still shows that they payment is outstanding even though there is notes made on the account that the payment has been received. I was informed by the vodashop staff that i will have to wait!
