It has been a month since my first contact with Virgin Mobile regarding an incorrect upgrade. It has taken me numerous lengthy phone calls (where everything had to be repeated) and empty promises to get it resolved, without success.
1) The upgrade was done incorrectly... I have had two contracts with them for four years on the 1, 000 free sms package and upon this upgrade I was upgraded to the 150 free sms package, although the contract price increased!
2) I was billed and amount of R236.88 for "Handset fee", something which you apparently have to pay if you take the upgrade anytime before the contract actually expires. The telesales consultant never made me aware of this. If I had known I would have waited for the contract to run out. I was called and told "You are now due for upgrade on your two contracts".

I have the names of a number of customer care consultants and two supervisors who told me that they were going to resolve the issues and call me back on progress. Needles to say that nothing has happened yet. I have stopped payment and they have now blocked the lines... who is winning this stupid battle??!!
