Fault ongoing for EIGHT MONTHS

I report a fault once every two weeks. It takes a week for them to come out and "fix" it, and then it works for a day or two before going back to being unusable. My ADSL disconnects every 5 minutes, and the last repair attempt has left me without ADSL or a phone for a week now.

I have tried escalating the faults (latest escalation number 528 768) but have yet to have a competent technician root-cause and fix my problem. This has been ongoing since December 2012, so I guess we're coming up on the 8-month anniversary of the problem. Maybe I should bake a cake and celebrate the birthday of this issue in December?
