I went into Greenstone Telkom to apply for the new Phone/ADSL deal. I was the only customer in the store but the person helping me had 2 telephone calls while helping me. The rest of the staff was sitting around discussing shoes and groceries. When I commented the one lady gave me a dirty look and walked to the back.
The person helping me was very friendly but did not listen, he got my telephone number and the deal that I wanted wrong after writing it down on the contract!! I was told that I will get my line 03/07, I made arrangements for someone to be at home, nobody pitched. I have phoned the call centre everyday to ensure that they will install on the 3rd, everytime I phoned I had to repeat my details, only on the 4th day did they notice the incorrect telephone number. I have now been promised that installation will take place on the 5th. (Hope and pray) If I knew that it would be so difficult to get something done I would have taken my business elsewhere. The branches (Greenstone and Eastgate) have no stock of telephones in the store. It is obvious that the call centre staff are taught to apologize profusely - it is just irritating, sorry fixes NOTHING.
