I've been trying to get a telephone line to get ADSL for the last three years in which I've heard every excuse in the book, Infrastructure not ready, cable, not doing upgrades this year and that our complex don't allow telephone lines. I've shown telkom pictures of telephone lines in our complex but still they refused to help me. About a month ago a Telkom call centre agent phoned me and asked me if I was interested in a land line and ADSL as they could see on the system that I have been waiting for a few years, I immediate said that I defnitely wanted a ADSL line. As expected an agent phoned me a week back to say that I couldn't get a landline as the infrastructure is not in place, best thing is that a co-worker that also lives in my street has a Telkom landline with 4meg uncapped. So I finally gave up hope and decided to apply for the 15GB promotion with the LTE router at Telkom Mobile. I waited for 4 hours in the shop after which the person advised me that the application is still gonna take 48 hours to complete. I can't believe that a company can survive without new clients. In a world with new technology how can a order take 48 hours to verify?
