MTN/ Blackberry Data Rip Off

I recently upgraded to the new Blackberry Z10. A the time I was informed that the BIS service is no longer available, but that the data package bundled with the phone should be enough for day to day BBM, Whatsapp, and email (I dont use the browser at all). However, the last 2 months, my account soared from R399 to over a R1000-all due to exessive data use! Last month for example I used up my allocated 250Meg data in 1day! Adding another 500Mb didnt help, as it was also consumed the same day! When enquiring about this, I was told that its my own responsibility to ensure that i stay within my allocated limits. however, MTN are unable to put a soft cap on my account, like in the old days. To manage my bundles I have to dial*162#, 808, or access mtn active website. However a balance enquiry on 808 only return old data balances (eg I phoned on 26/06 and received a balance of 03/06); *162# only return a "general error; and"mtn active is for people with internet access! Surely in order for MTN to expect me to manage my account they need to provide me with tools to do so? Else I will continue to get bills that are tripple my contracted amount? And they smile all the way to the bank!
