Unreasonable Cancellation Policy of Vodacom

I requested Vodacom to supply me with an cancellation fee for the early termination of my Vodacom account on the 22nd of June 2013. They then provided me with a premature cancellation quotation in the "very reasonable" amount of R5, 737.46, which amount includes a 25% discount. The cancellation quotation is based on my monthly subscription fee of R850.00 per month X 9 months (outstanding period of contract) less an very "impressive" 25% discount. One needs to bear in mind that my subscription is only for airtime and data, and does not include a handset. My view is that this cancelation policy is unreasonable and infringes on my right as a consumer to be treated in a manner as contemplated in the Consumer Protection Act, and in fact, all Vodacom customers will be prejudiced by this policy.
So, the reason for my complaint is not for Vodacom to appease my complaint, but I want to ask everyone that has or had a similar issue or experience with Vodacom's Cancellation Policy, to send me an email at [Email Removed] as I am in the process of referring this matter to the consumer commission to investigate the validity and reasonableness of this policy.
