Incorrect upgrading and incompetent attitude

When I phone my service provider MTN, they inform me that I am due for an upgrade on 01 July 2013. I am unfortunately not available at the time, so I contacted the call centre to query if I will be able to upgrade this weekend. According to the consultant, I am only legible for upgrade in August. When I informed him about the info that I have, he simply told me that it is because of the new credit act that I may only upgrade in August. If they want to throw the credit act to me, I might as well use it against them, because they advertised to me that I may upgrade in July. When I informed the consultant about this, he just went into a stutter. NO help whatsoever. I have been with MTN for almost 10 years now, and it is a pity that their service has come down to this. What you advertise, you have to deliver. Not according to MTN.
