Vodacom - giving wrong info

I wanted to upgrade my phone 3 weeks before I am due for an upgrade. I phoned and I spoke to an consultant that informed me that I do qualify for the upgrade as I have 3 contracts and my average bill for the account statement is more than R800 per month. I then went to Vodashop Clearwater mall to do the upgrade and was rejected.
I feel it is unfair that I am told that I can do the upgrade as I phoned to confirm and then told no when I did the effort to go to a Vodashop to do the upgrade!!!
