MTN is not accountable to customers

I went to get a 3G sim swop at MTN Cresta branch on Saturday. The sim card either did not get activated properly, or there may be some other technical problem, but my 3G is not working. Had the modem tested this morning. It works fine. Went to the shop to check out the sim card to be confronted with signs saying MTN is offline and the shop would therefore be closed. I knocked on the door in the hope that any of the full compliment of staff would perhaps just come to the door to advise me what to do next. Instead, one rolled her eyes at me, rudely gesturing that the shop was closed. All of them then just looked away and ignored me. There is obviously so sense of accountability towards the customer. Even not to the point of according the customer the basic respect of acknowledging him or her. I tried complaining to two call centre agents and the Morningside manager Kennedy. I have no faith in either channel to take it further, as I have complained before (on reception problems) and no action was taken.
